Assessing the Economic Impact on Hawaiʻi’s Indigenous Community

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce, we kicked off the year with a 2024 Economic Forum.

The event aimed to provide crucial economic indicators for Native Hawaiian businesses navigating a projected 1.3% upturn in the economy.

Special thanks to our amazing participants: - George "Umi" Akana of Pono Petroleum and Akana Brothers Construction - Keane Akao of Tihati Productions - Representative Kanani Souza - Representative Gene Ward - Senator Glenn Wakai - CPB Vice President, Demaney Kihe - And our moderator, Kainoa Carlson of Hawai'i News Now.

Our members and the community invested time to hear projections for 2024, engaging in robust interaction and questions with our esteemed guests.

Mahalo nui loa to all who participated!

Looking forward to a wonderful year!

Be on the lookout for our next event...
