"Leaders of a Legacy: The Founders of the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce" (5:29)

Produced by Show and Tell Hawaii

Our Founder's Story

Founded in 1974, the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce was formed to meet the needs of Native Hawaiians struggling to gain an equal footing with leaders in business at the time. Founding members Ed Auld, Charles Scott Ho'olulu May, and Melvin Kaipoleimanu Soong tell the story of the start of NHCC and the progress that Native Hawaiians have since made as leaders in Hawaii's business community.
