Sterling Wong will present a general overview and assessment of Native Hawaiian issues at the 2016 State Legislature including a discussion on legislation to provide the Office of Hawaiian Affairs its fair share of public land trust revenue. Come join the discussion on how we can collectively make an impact.
Sterling Wong is the Public Policy Manager of the Office Hawaiian Affairs. He is a Native Hawaiian raised in Kunia, O’ahu, and graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute and the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, double majoring in Hawaiian Studies and Journalism. He began working at OHA as an intern in 2002 writing for the Ka Wai Ola and was eventually hired as a staff writer. He became an advocate in 2008 and joined the Public Policy program in 2010. He likes to surf with his family.
