The Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce (NHCC) is a non-profit organization that provides programs for the Native Hawaiian business community and scholarship funds for Native Hawaiian students, pursuing a degree in business. As part of our fundraising efforts, NHCC holds an annual event, which includes an elegant dining experience and an exquisite silent auction, all centered around honoring three outstanding Native Hawaiians who have made significant contributions toward advancement and increased vibrancy within the Hawaiian community.

This year's theme is “Ho'ea mai ka 'ike kumupa'a no ka ho'olahui manomano”, To bring forth (our) foundational knowledge and build a nation of greatness. Recognizing the values, culture and genealogies that were passed down by our ancestors to instill the responsibility we all have to perpetuate the essence of who we are as Hawaiians and leaders in the modern world.

Karl Veto Baker
With nearly 30 years in the mortgage banking business, Baker is a successful businessman and inspirational leader as well as kumu hula of an award winning halau, Halau I Ka Wekiu. He attributes his success to the cultural values instilled in him through his love for hula and he incorporates those values in every aspect of his life. Baker also served as President of the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce for the 2012/2013 term.
Dr. Raymond Jardine, Jr.
Dr. Jardine is the Chairman & CEO of Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC and Chairman of the Kina’ole Foundation. He is the past president of the Native Hawaiian Organizations Association (NHOA). He was appointment by President Bush as the Vice Chair of the National Veterans Business Development Corporation and reconfirmed by President Obama. Jardine is currently appointed by the Governor of Hawaii to the Emergency Management Advisory and State Procurement Advisory.
Ivan Michael Ilihia Lui Kwan
Attorney and Director of Starn, O’Toole, Marcus and Fisher, Lui Kwan is also a managing member of Hokukahu, LLC, the for profit subsidiary of Hokupili Foundation. Lui Kwan served as Past Chairman of the Board for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (“HART”) and is an Ambassador to the United States and Hawaii for the Maori King, Kiingi Tuheitia, and the Tribes of Aotearoa.
